Fast Forward to the Middle of September

School has begun and the kids are getting smarter! Justin began 2nd grade and Ali started her second year of Preschooler's Place at Mother's Day Out. They both love their teachers and are excelling. I think that Ali's favorite part of the day is the candy in the treasure box at the end of the day. Trinity is enjoying Mommy all to herself too!

Our summer vacation was spent at Broken Bow OK riding bikes, roasting marshmallows, boat riding and enjoying the sounds of the park. We stayed the week in a log cabin and it was heavenly. Wayne and the kids fished for Trout just as I did most every weekend when I was a kid. It brought back sweet memories for me of my grandparents and Bennet Springs in MO.

Opening White Wing Season would not be complete without a trip to South TX. We extended the Labor Day Weekend and drove to the Valley. Wayne's Uncle was married in a "camo only attire" wedding and everyone went hunting immediately following. The girls and I rested with family at the Farm until they finished. All of the kids thoroughly enjoyed an impromto ride to the beach. All of them adore the water; I love to watch them smile when the sand and tide hit their little feet!
Trinity is running; Ali loves to dance, sing and show us her newest tumbling moves and Justin is doing rather well at gymnastics too.

Pool Time!

Our kids are as happy in the water as a school of fish! On Friday we swam in the neighbor's pool and had an excellent time. ISR lessons were worth every early morning trip to the pool; Ali spent her swim time following her brother into the pool. She would hollor "cannon ball" as she jumped from the edge into the water and then floated on her back rotating to a swim to the edge of the pool! Justin was brave enough to add several front flips into his cannon ball routine. Trinity was content floating in the same blow up float that Justin and Ali used at her same age. We are so thankful to have such gracious neighbors!

Today we all scaled it back a bit and played in our kiddie pool and sprinkler in the backyard before heading into the evening routine. They all three love to splash; summer, here we come!

Happy FIRST Birthday Trinity!

Today was an extremely pleasant day; we celebrated Trinity's first Birthday with a very quaint gathering. Our birthdays are often overwhelming and we chose to keep it small this year with family and two of the girls' friends whom are siblings. Trinity enjoyed several big swipes of cake icing before being wiped down; she even had icing in her ear and nose! Ali was very helpful during present time and Justin entertained his cousins outside with a sword fight or two. We wrapped it up with a yummy dinner of smoked ribs and roasted corn that Wayne tenderly cooked throughout the day for all of us. Trinity is now enjoying some much needed slumber with her very own handmade blankie from Grammy. Maybe now she will leave Ali's alone. Happy Birthday Baby Girl; we love you so much!!

Party is over & Trinity decides to stand on her own for a couple of seconds; no first steps yet.

Trinity's FIRST Haircut

Trinity was quite the little trooper during her first hair cut; there was no fussing! And, she REALLY enjoyed her first lollipop when her trim was finished. Daddy says that she was cute before, but, now she is even cuter (as if that was even possible)!

Mother's Day

We braved the heat on Mother's Day to check out Scarborough Faire. It was an eye opening experience! Justin, Ali and Trinity have been performing skits to entertain us since we have been home. Justin is always the Knight that slays the Dragon, often played by Ali. When Ali plays the Princess the kids have a stuffed Dragon that will make do. Jenna plays a good Princess too and Trinity is a star Fairy.

Infant Swimming Resource

ISR is dedicated to preventing infants from drowning by teaching them aquatic survival instruction. http://www.infantswim.com/

Ali Floating

Lots of "Firsts"

Trinity has mastered the art of crawling and pulling up on anything she can get her little hands on. I am sure that she will be walking/running in no time! I have been told that she has a strong will just like the older two. It is no wonder; she must have one to exist around here! She popped out four teeth several weeks ago and the top four are all at the surface now. Speaking of teeth; Justin lost his first two bottom teeth last month too.

Trinity will be celebrating a first birthday within the next three weeks and Ali will celebrate her third birthday the following month. I look at each of them each day and try my best to hold on to every memory; I am amazed at how fast they are all growing and wish that I could record every moment.

Wash Out

We had an amazing amount of rain in the last several days; unfortunately, my roses, flower bed and yard are under water!

Easter Festivities

Justin is quite the party planner and he created a spectacular Easter Egg Hunt for his Family and Friends! We stuffed lots of eggs and shared cake and ice cream with friends.

Spring Break Fun

We had so much fun this Spring Break. Rather than pack up everything and trek across the country we chose to sleep at home and enjoy "day trips." We visited the zoo, the outlet mall and Rain Forest Cafe, Disney on Ice, a local street festival, the park and still had time to chill at home and get some yard work done!
