Sunny Days

We loaded up the kids and headed to South Padre Island for the week. Wayne's Uncle Bobby was taking the plunge for the first time in his many 52 years and this was a wedding that we were not about to miss!

We stopped first at Dona's, Wayne's middle sister, newly purchased "castle" in San Antonio. It was built in 1894 and is truly incredible http://www.terrellcastle.net/. Dona and Erica are already managing the renovation to transform the once bed and breakfast to an event venue for Dona's party planning business. Over 10,000 sq ft of living space and my family, with the exception of Trinity, chose to all sleep in one King size bed the evening of our stay!

Beautiful sunshine greated us early after a long drive the first night so we packed up and headed to south Texas. Ali and Justin were ready to see their Grandma Sue and Grandpa Billy. Our week was full of visits with family and lots of sun and sand. We stayed in an awesome condominium at the island and Wayne and I enjoyed watching our children smile ear to ear while building sand castles, chasing and being chased by sea gulls and splashing in the ocean. Justin learned to surf a boogey board and Ali held tight as her Daddy pulled her through the ripples. Trinity caught a few zzz's in the cool ocean breeze while Mommy caught up on some reading. We had such a great time that watching our vacation come to a close was sad. We have been home one week and the kids are already begging for more love from Grandma Sue and Grand Bill.
